HaapajärviA chapel parish in the Kalajoki mother parish, established as a village with a preaching house in 1647. Was made a chapel parish in 1693. Separated from Kalajoki and made a parish of its own in 1838. From that time the former chapel parish of Pidisjärvi and Reisjärvi , in addition to Haapajärvi, were part of the Kalajoki mother parish, until both were separated from Kalajärvi and made parishes of their own in 1868.
