ElimäkiHaving been an annexed parish of Pyhtää from 1640, the parish was annexed by the Loviisa new parish in 1748; but in spite of this the vicar of Loviisa hired an official assistant to Elimäki, contrary to regulations. The parish was separated from Loviisa (as was Anjala) in 1863 and made a parish of its own, to be taken care of by the vicar and a chapel parish vicar. The office of the old chapel parish vicar was abolished at the same time.
