AnjalaOriginally was established as a village with a preaching house under the jurisdiction of Elimäki annexed parish, when some people in the Anjalanhovi region in 1692 were granted the right to build a church of their own, where the clergy in Elimäki held divine services every third Sunday, until the parish became a chapel parish in 1789 and got its own vicar. Was separated from Elimäki into a parish of its own in 1863 to be taken care of by the vicar alone. Parish was merged with the Anjalankoski parish at the beginning of the year 1999, which was then founded.
