Instructions on the books of moved persons

Years

Examples:

• 1700 - 1800 = search years 1700-1800
• 1700 - (the second field empty) = search from year 1700 onward
• - 1800 (the first field empty) = search from the beginning until year 1800

If necessary, days and months can be used in limiting the time to be included in the search. The dates must be entered in this format: dd.mm.yyyy (e.g. 3.5.1775). One can also enter only the month and year (e.g. 5.1775). In that case the month in question will be included in the search.

Show at most xx events

The limit applies to each parish in the search. Therefore, it is best to keep the number low if several parishes are searched at the same time. Currently the total number of events to be shown is limited to 750 by the program.

The rest of the events can be shown either by increasing the limit (if it was 500 or less) or by adding or narrowing the search criteria. To continue on to the next event in the parish, push the Continue button.

Name (first name, patronymic, last name)

Where to, from where (place, village, house)
See the instructions of how to input the names of the places. In the books of persons who have moved into a parish "where to" has two fields (village, house) and "from where" one field (place). In the books of persons who have moved from a parish, the fields are reversed.
